In 2018, Claire graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston (UTHealth) at Austin with her Master’s in Public Health. During her time at UTHealth, Claire worked with the Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite Technical Assistance and Support Program (TMFW-TASP), a program of the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) dedicated to ensuring women in the workplace have the resources to meet their breastfeeding goals.
In 2020, Claire took a full-time position as a Research Assistant for Texas Health Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sexual health and wellness for LGBTQ+ Texans by providing culturally competent healthcare in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.
Through her experiences, Claire has developed skills in program management, policy analysis, grant writing, program development, program evaluation, and statistical analyses. She is passionate about eliminating disparities across public health and healthcare sectors at a systemic-level. Claire hopes to use her skillset to build programs to meet the needs of marginalized communities.
Originally from Moscow Mills, MO – Claire currently resides in Austin, Texas where she enjoys taking care of her two dogs, exploring Austin’s nature and cuisine, traveling, cooking, and crafting.
