Vice President, Communication

We are seeking a creative strategist with excellent interpersonal skills for the role of VP, Communication. The managing editor will be responsible for managing a team of writers, staying abreast of developments in Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and veteran issues, and studying content performance analytics.


To ensure success as a VP, Communication, candidates should have an eye for good content, demonstrate leadership, and have good written and verbal communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch VP, Communication will be attuned to the business-client relationship and is a natural project manager.

 VP, Communication Responsibilities:

  • Managing a content team that includes writers and graphic designers.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in Google’s SEO algorithms.
  • Monitoring Google Analytics and other tools to understand which content effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with research and marketing teams to align with strategic organizational  goals.
  • Conducting audience research to figure out how best to reach our audience.
  • Determining which social media platforms to focus on.
  • Growing our online audience.
  • Editing copywriting and checking that all work meets publishing standards.
  • Hiring and supervising copywriters and graphic designers.
  • Ensure that published content is consistent with the organization brand guide.
  • Planning daily operations.

VP, Communication Requirements:

  • Experience in journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong editing skills, as well as written and verbal communication.

Event Manager

We are searching for an enthusiastic Event Manager with a “can-do” attitude to assist our organization in hosting events that enhance our organization’s image, improve donor retention, and enhance our brand-to-donor experience. The Event Manager will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events’ calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee relations, and improve our organization’s growth through events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management. 

Event Manager Responsibilities:
