Chief Marketing Officer

We are looking for a passionate Chief Marketing Officer to join our executive team. You will report directly to the CEO and lead our superb in-house marketing team. Your duties will include managing all marketing operations, assessing and improving existing initiatives, and devising new strategies to increase donations.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to tailor marketing strategies to complement the organization’s objectives. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills to successfully provide guidance to your team, and you will have a vast knowledge of current marketing trends.

Chief Marketing Officer Responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementing and overseeing all marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Liaising with development and public relations teams to align objectives.
  • Growing and developing the in-house marketing team.
  • Building a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals.
  • Conducting market research and staying abreast of competitor positioning.

Chief Financial Officer

We are looking to hire a CFO to lead the organization from a financial perspective. You will work alongside other C-Suite team members and take ownership of all organization fiscal and regulatory matters. To do well in this role you should have experience as a CFO in a organization with complex financials and an extensive balance sheet.

CFO Responsibilities:

  • Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
  • Help with recruiting new staff members when necessary.
  • Oversee the organization’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Supervise financial reporting and budgeting team.
  • Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs.
  • Work well with the Chief Marketing Officer, CEO, and COO to develop the strategic plan.

CFO Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior management position.
  • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.

Chief Development Officer

We are seeking to hire a dedicated Chief Development Officer to help us set direction and ensure the longevity of our organization. The Chief Development Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will work with the senior management team, governing board, and staff to define the organization’s vision and direction. You will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies to secure donors and contributions in support of the organization, provide oversight of the fund development program, monitor development activities, and address issues that may hamper growth and success.

The successful applicant should have proven experience as a fundraising and organizational development specialist, with several years of management experience in a non-profit organization or a similar environment. You must be motivated, have the ability to solve complex problems, and have a passion for philanthropy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CEO, staff, and governing board to facilitate short and long-term strategic plans.
  • Identify and address development issues that affect the well-being and efficacy of the organization.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy and ensure that fund development is executed in keeping with the organization’s values, vision, and mission.
  • Participate with the CEO and senior management to plan the organization’s fund development course and programs.
  • Manage the operations development function efficiently, and oversee development activities in coordination with staff.
  • Establish a balanced mix of donor sources and fundraising programs to attract and retain donors and fundraising volunteers.
  • Establish performance measures, monitor results, and evaluate the efficacy of the fund development program.
  • Maintain accountability and ensure compliance with all regulations and laws, as well as the code of ethics for fundraising professionals.
  • Help to recruit, train, and motivate fundraising volunteers.
  • Keep abreast of developments in philanthropy and fund development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing projects and teams.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising.

Vice President, Communication

We are seeking a creative strategist with excellent interpersonal skills for the role of VP, Communication. The managing editor will be responsible for managing a team of writers, staying abreast of developments in Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and veteran issues, and studying content performance analytics.


To ensure success as a VP, Communication, candidates should have an eye for good content, demonstrate leadership, and have good written and verbal communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch VP, Communication will be attuned to the business-client relationship and is a natural project manager.

 VP, Communication Responsibilities:

  • Managing a content team that includes writers and graphic designers.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in Google’s SEO algorithms.
  • Monitoring Google Analytics and other tools to understand which content effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with research and marketing teams to align with strategic organizational  goals.
  • Conducting audience research to figure out how best to reach our audience.
  • Determining which social media platforms to focus on.
  • Growing our online audience.
  • Editing copywriting and checking that all work meets publishing standards.
  • Hiring and supervising copywriters and graphic designers.

VP, Communication Requirements:

  • Experience in journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong editing skills, as well as written and verbal communication.

Vice President of Innovation

We are looking for a Vice President of Innovation to be responsible for handling our organization’s ongoing technology projects. You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a huge advantage.

VP of Innovation  Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.

Event Manager

We are searching for an enthusiastic Event Manager with a “can-do” attitude to assist our organization in hosting events that enhance our organization’s image, improve donor retention, and enhance our brand-to-donor experience. The Event Manager will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events’ calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee relations, and improve our organization’s growth through events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management. 

Event Manager Responsibilities:

Grant Writer

We are looking to hire a dedicated Grant Writer to write grant proposals for our organization. The Grant Writer will write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. You will apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals. You will collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects, and develop relationships with key stakeholders.

To ensure success you need to write well, have proficient knowledge of fundraising methods, and be committed to the mission you are representing. Preferred applicants are deadline-driven team players. 

Grant Writer Responsibilities:
